Andrea Montgomery

With Colleagues from Chung Ying I have been working with colleagues from Hong Kong for several years.

In winter 2005 I brought The Nightingale, a co-production between Hong Kong Arts Festival, Chung Ying Theatre, and the UK's Yellow Earth Theatre Company to Northern Ireland.

Since March 2007 Chung Ying Theatre and I have been working in Hong Kong on projects in theatre and education.

In August 2007 we undertook a program for young people in Tin Shui Wai.

In November of 2009, in London, we completed our first workshop exploring a new project inspired by the writings of environmentalist Jared Diamond.

Terra Nova Productions, my theatre company, has just received funding from the Arts Council of Northern Ireland to undertake a second development workshop in Belfast in spring 2010.  We will be working with animators, puppeteers and a composer as well as theatre colleagues.
